RAVEN
After my injury, it was hard to imagine how I could still enjoy the things I once loved. Trying to relive those experiences in my situation didn’t feel empowering—it felt frustrating. The idea of sitting in the mountains and feeling that sense of purpose again seemed impossible.
But CDA gave me more than a tag or a trip. They gave me back the feeling of being capable. Of being included. Of doing something I never thought I could do again.
Every hunt I have been on has reminded me that my story didn’t end when my injury happened—it simply changed. And with the right people beside you, those changes can lead to some of the most meaningful experiences of your life.
These hunts aren’t just rewarding—they are healing. They remind me that I can still take on challenges and still find joy in the things I’ve always loved.
Especially when you are surrounded by incredible people who support and guide you—people who share in your excitement and become part of a memory you will carry forever: simply being outside, waiting for your chance to prove that you are still capable.
Thank you to CDA, the volunteers, and everyone who makes moments like this possible. Your dedication and heart create memories that truly last a lifetime.
