SHARE Program, 2003
Opened tens of thousands of acres of private lands to low-cost public hunting access.

Senate Bill 1058
Big Game Management Account, 2010
Brought greater flexibility to how annual revenues from the sale of annual hunting permits could be used by CDFW and engaged conservation groups in setting priorities and delivering results.

Assembly Bill 1162
Wildlife Poaching, 2012
Substantially increased the penalties for poaching a “trophy” game and required fine revenues be used for the protection, conservation, and preservation of wildlife.

Funding for Wildlife, 2014
Safeguarded the significant annual revenues generated for CDFW through the sale of select big game tags at conservation fundraisers by allowing nonprofits to keep a small percentage of the sale price as a vendor fee.

Senate Bill 395
“The Wildlife Traffic Safety Act”, 2019
If funded, would enhance road safety and reduce roadkill by helping state agencies pinpoint the best locations for roadway wildlife crossings by facilitating reporting of where vehicle/wildlife collisions via a cell-phone app.

Free Hunting Days, 2021
Helped stem the long-term decline in hunting license sales by requiring CDFW to designate two mentored “Free Hunting Days” each year for those who had passed the Hunter Safety Course but had stopped short of purchasing their license.
