Purpose

CDA provides funding to chapters for projects that directly benefit deer and other wildlife. Projects must have measurable impact.

Eligible Project Types

Chapters may apply for funds for projects in these categories:

• Habitat improvement
• Land acquisition and conservation easements
• Research projects
• Equipment requests
• Public education and outreach

Eligibility

• Must be a CDA chapter in good standing.
• Funds cannot be used for salaries, administration, or routine maintenance unless approved.

Application Requirements

All applications must address these five criteria:

1. Project Overview
   • Briefly describe the project and its purpose.
2. Issue(s) / Wildlife Benefit
   • Explain the problem the project addresses.
   • Describe how it will directly benefit deer or other wildlife.
3. Project Description
   • Provide background or historical context.
   • Describe anticipated outcomes.
4. Use of CDA Funds
   • Detail how funds will be spent.

Reporting

• Chapters must report project progress and outcomes as requested by CDA.
• Funds must be used only for approved project purposes.
