Round Valley Mule Deer Critical Winter Range Bitterbrush Rehabilitation-

Project Info

Project Description

The Round Fire burned over 6,000 acres in February 2015. Nearly all of the burned area is identified as critical mule deer winter range for the Round Valley Herd. The Bureau of Land Management will plant antelope bitterbrush seedlings that were propagated from the local area into the Round Fire burn area. This will establish islands of bitterbrush that will benefit mule deer and other wildlife and will help start the re-vegetation process of the burned area by providing a viable seed source.
