Conservation Education

The California Deer Association is committed to conserving California deer today and for future generations. In order to ensure healthy deer herds now and forever, it is essential to educate the public about this important natural resource. CDA regularly funds education projects that teach youth and the public about the importance of wildlife stewardship and the unprecedented role hunters play in conservation.

Hunter Safety Education

The California Deer Association offers Hunter Safety classes through many of its local chapters. You must successfully complete a California Hunter Safety Education class to hunt in this great state and to apply for the many hunting opportunities sponsored by CDA. The California Department of Fish and Game offers Hunter Safety Education classes throughout the state. Check their website for a schedule of programs available in your area.
